Daniel Jacobson Bio

Daniel Jacobson is a guitar and ukulele teacher based in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.

He has been teaching for 15 years, both privately and at schools including The Music Education Centre in New Zealand, and Newpark Music Centre in Dublin.

He studied at Newpark Music Centre, completing a London Guildhall School of Music Performance Diploma in 2003. In 2006 he completed a Masters in Music and Media Technologies at Trinity College Dublin.

He has performed in many styles of music including jazz, electronic music and pop, in a wide range of bands and acts, including with Jack L at Edinburgh Festival, with Meljoann at Knockanstockan Festival, and with his own group “ZoiD” at Down with Jazz Festival.

He founded Diatribe Records in the late 90s, which is currently the foremost  label in Ireland for contemporary classical music and jazz.
